At GevuraX, Edmund leads legal, regulatory and partner strategy for a phased, multi-jurisdictional, multi-decade firm-power program on the Gulf Coast. His remit runs from Enterprise Zone structuring and permitting to offtake contracts, cross-border supply arrangements, and the export-controls posture a utility-scale campus needs to move at speed and stay bankable.
His career covers every corner of global trade practiced by an operator: trade and customs law, customs controversies, strategic duty and tax optimization, trade agreements, duty and tax drawback, the administration of petroleum and petrochemical facilities inside foreign-trade zones and bonded warehousing, and export licensing and controls. The through-line is the energy sector — where he has advised oil & gas majors, commodity traders and airlines on complex regulatory and operational matters for more than three decades.
Edmund is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida, and before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He has appeared before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, the Bureau of Industry and Security, the Bureau of Census and the Foreign Trade Zones Board, and — cross-border — the Canadian Border Services Agency and the National Energy Board of Canada.
He was Founder and President of Spectrum International LLC, providing petroleum inspection, laboratory services and logistics — measurement and testing of crude, petroleum and petrochemicals — alongside trade advisory to the global commodities market. In parallel, he served as Executive Vice President at Charter Brokerage LLC, where he built and ran the customs brokerage and freight forwarding division and led the firm's expansion into Canada.
Earlier, Edmund advised multinational clients on customs and tax at PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in its International Tax and Trade group. He began his career as a Customs Officer with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (formerly the U.S. Customs Service) — the operational grounding that has shaped his practice ever since.
